Avvalendosi di un cospicuo materiale fotografico e documentale integrato da sintetici testi esplicativi, offre oggi al visitatore un percorso storico del movimento partigiano biellese dal settembre 1943 al maggio 1945, approfondendo - in particolare - temi ed eventi legati al territorio della Serra e del comune di Sala.
Le fotografie, i documenti originali, i cimeli d'epoca (divise partigiane, equipaggiamento militare tedesco e angloamericano, dotazioni civili) e le ricorrenti mostre temporanee consentono al visitatore di rivivere appieno quei drammatici eventi, mentre l'originale, sintetico, "plastico del territorio" ben fa comprendere gli spazi fisici della Resistenza biellese.
The Resistance Museum was born in 1992 on the initiative of Elio Parlamento "Varzi", president of A.N.P.I. Valle Elvo and Serra, and of the partisans of Sala Biellese. Making use of a conspicuous photographic and documentary material supplemented by synthetic explanatory texts, it offers the visitor today a historical journey of the Biella partisan movement from September 1943 to May 1945, deepening - in particular - themes and events linked to the territory of the Serra and the municipality of Sala .
The photographs, the original documents, the vintage memorabilia (partisan uniforms, German and Anglo-American military equipment, civil equipment) and the recurring temporary exhibitions allow the visitor to fully relive those dramatic events, while the original, synthetic, plastic of the territory "makes us understand the physical spaces of the Biella Resistance.
