Fa parte del quartiere abitativo brettio-romano (I secolo a.C.)nel quale si leggono sovrapposizioni di strutture romane su quelle brettie.
E' così chiamata per il rinvenimento di un mosaico figurato con minute tessere policrome che, insieme a un letto di bronzo decorato in argento e pietre preziose, abbelliva un ambiente identificato come sala da banchetto. Il letto è attualmente esposto nel Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Reggio Calabria]
Vi è rappresentata una scena di caccia con due cavalieri ed un portatore di lance che si dispongono ai lati di un orso, ferito. Completano la scena, dominata da un grande albero, un cane, un felino e un cinghiale

It is part of the Brettio-Roman inhabited quarter (1st century BC) in which there are overlaps of Roman structures on those Brettias.
It is so named for the discovery of a figurative mosaic with minute polychrome tesserae which, together with a bronze bed decorated in silver and precious stones, embellished an environment identified as a banquet room. The bed is currently exhibited in the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria]
There is represented a hunting scene with two knights and a bearer of spears that are arranged on the sides of a wounded bear. Complete the scene, dominated by a large tree, a dog, a feline and a wild boar
