Went there yesterday, ONE LADY gave us the worst experience so far in 4 years of being your almost-everyday client.
1. We had a bottle of wine before entering the store, went straight to the front desk and before even having a chance to ask the lady if we can leave it there so we could get in, she told us we should pay the bottle. OUR BOTTLE. Then I explained whats going on, and proceeded to grab some groceries.
2. Self checkouts machine get blocked very often and you have to ask the staff to unblock it for you. (I don’t mind this, it’s fine, understandable)
The SAME lady from the front desk came, unblocked it, COUNTED OUR ITEMS AND MATCH THE ITEMS ON THE COMPUTER.
Now, I don’t mind if you are checking to make sure no items get stolen and you were just doing your job, but the thing is I didn’t see her doing it to any other blocked self checkout so I felt like we were profiled as if we stole something. In front of every other customers in the store, that, is harassment.
3. After checking out, we went to the front desk again to collect our bottle. No one was there so we called the same lady so she could come and hand it back to us. She saw us and came shouting “DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING, DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS ANYWHERE ON THE DESK BECAUSE YOU’RE GOING TO BREAK SOMETHING”
???!!!
Hello?? This is why we called you!
Very very disappointed. Younger staff especially are nicer and helpful compared to this lady.
