★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nelle vicinanze della villa reale sorge la cappella espiatoria in ricordo dell'uccisione del re Umberto I avvenuta il 29 luglio 1900. Il monumento è costituito da una cripta e da una cappella sormontata da una slanciata stele. L'opera è un progetto dell'architetto Giuseppe Sacconi e terminata da Guido Cirilli e inaugurata nel 1910. Interessanti sono: la cripta con il cippo commemorativo e la Pietà in bronzo (sulla stele) opera di Lodovico Pogliaghi.
 Near the royal villa stands the expiatory chapel in memory of the killing of King Umberto I on 29 July 1900. The monument consists of a crypt and a chapel surmounted by a slender stele. The work is a project by the architect Giuseppe Sacconi and completed by Guido Cirilli and inaugurated in 1910. Interesting are: the crypt with the memorial stone and the bronze Pietà (on the stele) by Lodovico Pogliaghi.
