Da essa parte una stradina che costeggia un piccolo laghetto ed arriva al rifugio JO VOLUBRO, che si staglia su un altro laghetto. Entrambi gli specchi d'acqua sono torbidi, verdi e stagnanti e vi si abbeverano cavalli e bovini allo stato brado. Sempre per questo posto passano percorsi CAI ed una apposita. Per raggiungere questo luogo si parte dalla periferia di Montelanico e si percorre una parte di strada asfaltata. Poi iniziano 5 km di strada brecciata, impervia, piuttosto pendente e sdrucciolevole, da percorrere con un veicolo adatto. Noi abbiamo parcheggiato l'auto alla fine del tratto asfaltato e siamo saliti a piedi per circa 2h 15' a passo veloce (scorpacciata di more permettendo); per la discesa abbiamo impiegato 1h e 15' circa. Durante il percorso si incontra una piccola cupola destinata ad osservatorio astronomico in alcune occasioni (ma solitamente priva di strumentazioni) e due case abitate; fuori il cancello di una di esse, i proprietari hanno messo una cassettina di frutta di stagione a disposizione di chi passa. Peccato per i rifiuti gettati da esseri incivili sia lungo la strada che sul sito. The area is large, shaded, with the possibility of having a picnic. From it starts a small road that runs along a small pond and arrives at the JO VOLUBRO refuge, which stands out on another pond. Both bodies of water are turbid, green and stagnant, and horses and cattle are watered in the wild. Always for this place pass CAI paths and a special one. To reach this place we start from the outskirts of Montelanico and follow a part of the asphalt road. Then they begin 5 km of brecciated road, impervious, rather sloping and slippery, to cover with a suitable vehicle. We parked the car at the end of the paved section and climbed on foot for about 2h 15 'at a fast pace (overflowing with blackberries permitting); for the descent we spent about 1h and 15 '. Along the way there is a small dome used as an astronomical observatory on some occasions (but usually without instruments) and two inhabited houses; outside the gate of one of them, the owners put a small box of seasonal fruit at the disposal of those passing by. Too bad for the waste thrown by uncivilized beings both along the road and on the site.
C	Chiara Cinti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La strada parte da Montelanico e si chiama via di Collemezzo. La cappella è molto piccola, direi che è piuttosto interessante per il bosco che lo circonda. L'area pic-nic è delle migliori che io abbia mai visto. La strada per arrivarci non è molto comoda, con la macchina abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà nei tornanti ma per il resto siamo arrivate tranquillamente in cima. Nei dintorni ci sono due laghetti, non molto suggestivi ma il panorama ripaga ugualmente la fatica. Purtroppo non siamo riuscite ad arrivare fino alla sorgente e alle grotte, ma rimedieremo. The road starts from Montelanico and is called via di Collemezzo. The chapel is very small, I would say that it is quite interesting due to the surrounding wood. The picnic area is some of the best I've ever seen. The road to get there is not very comfortable, with the car we had some difficulties in the hairpin bends but otherwise we easily reached the top. In the surroundings there are two lakes, not very suggestive but the view equally repays the effort. Unfortunately we were unable to reach the source and the caves, but we will remedy.
