★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An hour and a half from rome (depending on traffic), a ski resort for people who wants o endulge in the snow specially for first timers that haven't seen snow. For 25 euros they provide equipment rentals for snowboarding, ski lifts, and more . Place to be before winter ends. During the summer it's a huge lake perfect for camping and outdoor-summer activities.

Very limited number of lifts & runs open.
I suggest you wait for substantial snowfall before visiting.

It's too busy, with inadequate facilities. On arrival, we queued for 45 minutes for a toilet, then queued for 90 minutes to rent some skis and boots. By which time the kids were hungry so queued for another hour for food.
Then we saw the queue for the ski pass, and that was the final straw. Returned our skis (more waiting) and left in disgust. My kids' first time skiing, and Campo Felice turned it into a nightmare. Never, ever, ever again.
