Camping Toblacher See

You didn't let 2 young bikers to sleep in your terrible camping cause they didn't have a reservation, even though people said that there was a lot of space inside. And then you even called the police and let them sleep next to the train station on a rainy night without toilet and water. Terrible people, cruel and just businessman. Stay away, don't support them!

Nice campsite but too expensive. Our pitch was terrible, we were next to some maintenance building and close to the bridge. Both made a lot of noise. Showers and toilets are very clean but you need your pass to get in, which can be annoying. For some nonsense reason you can’t get through the main gate with your car between 13:00 and 15:00. Staff was very friendly but if you want to get fresh bread from the shop, get up early! Lake and area is very nice, lots of nice hikes around the place but get there early because other wise you can’t park your car anywhere! If money is not a problem for you, would recommend.

Loved this campsite, it’s in a beautiful location over looking a small lake, the pitches are a good size and all have good proximity to the toilet & shower block, which is kept spotlessly clean even when busy. The private shower and toilet rooms are fantastic. There is an restaurant on site overlooking the lake with the option to order takeaway pizzas which are amazing!

Me and my friend had the worst experience with those terrible people. Let me explain: We did Munich - Venice on bikes and one of the standard stops was Toblach. After 10 hours of biking we first went to another terrible place : Olympia camping , where they refused to take us in, although it was 22:00 and we were homeless. They said go somewhere else, so we started extremely tired, to find Toblacher See Camping in the woods (no lights, no people). When we finally arrived, we found around 8 people on the back of the restaurant smoking and chilling, went there asked them for any place just to put our tent, cause we suffered a hard trip and they said they couldn't help us, cause the reception was closed. We were begging them for 15 minutes, until a couple of nice Germans showed up and defended us. They said there was much space next to their spot. The one in charge said she would call the police, although the couple had offered us a seat for some food and water. I was asking everybody to react and do something as human to human and not abandon us in the woods with no toilets, water and light. Nobody even moved. A BMW appeared with the owner inside on the co-driver seat, a terrible bad-mannered handicapped old "lady" that was clapping the hands , as like we were mice, saying "quickly , get lost from my property, i already called the police". I had the worst feelings towards those inhuman, cruel people that saw us as a bad investment on their damned business. The police came, they asked for our documents, we told them what had happened and they suggested that we sleep in a stadium nearby that had toilets, water and it would be fine for 1 night. We immediately accepted. The Duchess in the BMW though had a different opinion on that. Not only they didn't accept us in the camping, cause we were just 2 campers with a tend for 1 night, not only they treated us with the most cruel way, not only they called the police, but they said that WE CAN'T EVEN SLEEP IN THE WOODS AND THE STADIUM, CAUSE IT WOULD HARM THEIR BUSINESS! Don't support their camping, these people deserve nothing. They see us only as potential expansion of their business kingdom, we're only numbers to them! In the end, the police escorted us until one point, as asked by the monstrous owner and they said "go wherever you want, it's fine for us". Slept next to the train station our worst night of this year. Nobody defended us, except from this kind German couple (thank you).

Definitely not a spot for tents, if you have a camper or caravan, I'm sure you have a lovely time but the space for tents is small and lopsided. I have to commend the service though, they let us see the place so we could decide if we wanted to stay or not.

The view is unbeatable. Huge rocks reminds me of Yosemite. However even better with the water. We stayed in the campsite for one night, stuff very friendly and the facility super modern. Of course not the cheapest campsite but worth the price. It’s very busy especially in summer time (the price is different from the second wel of September) make sure you reserve unless you just come with a tent!

Nice location and sanitary is very luxurious. But 36 euros for 2 people, a small tent, no electricity and a shared tenting area is just ridiculous.. topped our most expensive camping so far by over 10 euros

Very beautiful campground right at the gorgeous Toblacher See. The staff was super friendly and even though we didn't have a reservation they let us stay at an emergency spot. The bathrooms were very clean and spacious, and we enjoyed our stay very much.
