A really nice and calm camping. Clean and neat toilet/shower building. Big places to put up your tent/caravan. The owner Luca is really nice and helpful if you need anything. A great place to be in nature for a few days!

A cute, small campsite, surrounded by the mountains. It’s perfect if you’re a nature-lover, the views are amazing. Very new and clean sanitary building. We arrived a bit later as planned, but that was no problem at all. We got a warm welcome by owner Gian Luca, where he showed us around. Next time we will stay longer, this was a lovely campsite so we will definitely come back.

After having spent 4 weeks at camping Monte Rosa it is difficult to understand why one only has to share the beauty and agreeable climate of Valle Anzasca with so little people. Besides the odd fox, mountain goat, cattle and sheep herder dogs, you simply do not encounter many fellow hikers on the many trails. The two ‘cheating’ cable cars, which takes many day trippers up to 3.000 meter within minutes, being the exception (although we would certainly recommend those hikes too). The rest of the valley is simply an oasis of peace and quiet, perfect for hiking, canyoning or via ferrata (although we were not that brave). For those ambitious enough, you can also travel from one ‘refuse’ house to the next, high in the mountains. We happily used them to make ourselves a cup of coffee but they also stock food and offer pretty good sleeping facilities. The small municipalities in the valley have 400 to 700 inhabitants each and time seems to have stood still here. Besides the immediate surroundings, lago di Mergozzo is a 35 minutes drive away: perfect for swimming! For other daytrips down the mountain: e.g. Verbania (lago Maggiore) is 50 min., Milan 2 hours, Turin 2 hours. At Camping Monte Rosa, Luca and Paula are most hospitable and quick to guide you. Clearly this is no camping with a swimming pool or supermarket although local pig farmer Barbara sells her meat, jam, honey and bread on the camping every other day. The camping is situated along the river Anza, nice and sunny but offers enough shady trees if need be. The facilities are simple but clean and the common room offers allot of hiking information and an ‘honesty fridge’ for those who forgot to stock enough cold beer and wine. Internet does work but the speed it offers provides enough passive safety not to be tempted to secretly work from ‘home’. We had a great time in Valle Anzasca and would certainly recommend this camping.

Great campsite, in a beautiful area. It feels like you walked in to the story of ‘The Eight Mountains’ of Paolo Cognetti. Simpel but clean facilities. Basically all you need is there, but not more than that. The river near de camping is a super cool plus! Luca and Paula are super friendly hosts and helpful to tell you about the surroundings.

A very nice campsite, next to a river. The owner, Luca, give you tips where to go and what to see. The campsite is very green and cozy. If you like walking in the nature, you'd have to go there! I absolutely recommend this place!

Whilst the Camping has an Official 2* rating, its for Hikers and people that love Camping, worth a 5*. The owner Luca is very service minded, takes all the time to welcome you and show you around at the Campsite so that you can select your preferred place. Toilet and Showerfacilities are more then average quality. There's a little canteen with an honest fridge where you can buy Wine and Beer and pay for yourself. In there’s a little Library as well where one can take a book whilst guests are asked to voluntarily leave a finished book behind. Location and surrounding area are superb. One of the activities we did was to descend the Monte Moro from 3000 to 600 mtrs, which was a spectaculair trip but extremely demanding feeling our muscels the following day. Many thanks to Luca and his Team for a fantastic stay. Warm Regards, Carla and Rob Peters

For me as a solo traveler who loves nature this is the perfect campsite. The basic facilities (electricity, water, sanitary) work and are spotlessly clean. The surroundings are beautiful and everything I need for my daily meals is available within walking distance. A lot of hikes and walks can be made in the direct vicinity of the campsite. And on top of that, Luca & Paolo make you feel most welcome and are always available if you need them. Grazie per tutti, io tornerò!

As an experienced camper this was probably the most pleasant stay I've had at a campsite. The atmosphere is super chilled largely due to the owner's friendly attitude to the guests and the astonishing natural beauty of the surrounding area. One for the "coming back again" list.
