β β β β β Super crowded in August. If you are looking for a quiet place to settle, this is not the place.
But if you have family with kids, it looked super fun for them, next to the lake with a lot of activities!
Not our case though!

β β β β β Enchanted by the lake's view. Good toilets facilities, and they keep it clean. Pool for the kids, a small market for groceries and restaurant/snackbar. A quite place.
If you like to walk, I think you have to improvise a bit, didn't find official walking routes. Furthermore Food is often adjusted to the tourist, not always what you would expect from Italian cuisine, however smaller places may surprised you. Public transport is possible but I think you would move better with your car, bike or motorcycle.

β β β β β Very nice camping spot. Staff speaks English, too. It had its own beach on the lake and if you don't need electricity then you can park your car with tent direct at the beach. But be aware it can be very windy. All showers, toilets and cabins have been modernized in 2018 and very clear and tidy It has its own swimming pool now, because the lake is very shallow and the ground very soft. Water quality is ok, thou.
The town is very nice, too. The old city centre can be reached by feet (approx 40 minutes).
We enjoyed the stay very much and it's a good location for some day trips into the Toscana. We can recommend a trip to Fosso Bianco/Bagni San Filippo /Bagni di San Filippo. Really nice hot spring river s with white Calcit cascades.

β β β β β We visited in the middle of August, Italyβs high season. The pitches for tents are very close to each other, barely grass around them. Some had shadow and nice trees but overall, full of camper vehicles. Showers and bathrooms are ok, hot water is included.

β β β β β Camping at the shore of Lago di Trasimeno. The lake is *very* flat and not the typical place to take a swim - but beautiful. The camping pool was very appreciated...

β β β β β Really lovely campsite, small and friendly. The views of the lake are stunning and it's wonderful to wake up to! Directly on the cycle path, close to a beautiful little town and brand new swimming pool. If you like small, no frills campsites close to nature then this is the place. Only negative is no baby changing/bathing facilities and no loo roll!

β β β β β The camping itself is very nice, beautifully located at the lake, with clean facilities and two, nice swimmingpools that kids loved. However, the all night long discos around are totally unbearable. I'm writing this at 2 AM as I'm not able to sleep. I hoped the yesterday night was some special occasion, but it looks like the parties are going on every day. Second and the last night here. Regret, because the place is nice, but if not able to sleep, it's not a relax but torture.

β β β β β Bellissimo! It's rare to find campings that allow you to park so close to the lake shore. It's a very beautiful place, relaxed atmosphere(we went in low season). Walking distance from Castiglione sul Lago, a little medioeval town that definately worth a visit. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, but there are a lot of walks for them from the site. Be aware that the lake water is very shallow, but if you don't mind walking a bit, you find some spots to have a proper swim.
