Very pricy camping with a lot of rules. Because we had to leave very early (unexpected) I asked in the afternoon if it was possible to pay because we will leave early the day after. The way of reacting and saying that it is not possible was extremely rude. In the rules it was stated that you need to pay between 09:00 - 12:00. And the rules are everything for these ladies. Rules above hospitality. Making an exception was very very difficult. After 15 minutes arguing they wrote the invoice and we paid for our visit. This took max 2 minutes). Bad experience all in all. Not a good thing if Italians (who usually dont live by the rules) start attacking you for not following the rules.

Nice campsite for Overnight stay, Great view of the lake- But my neighbor is a bit noisy until way past 11- Maybe it is OK for Saturday night? One point Less for this. The coffee is not very strong compared to the one in Roma or Tuscany, It’s kind of watery- And the latte is $3.50 euro - a bit over price- As I pay the same in Venice. Most places will charge me one euro 50 at most. The most common price is 1 euro 20 At the coffee bar on the side of the road. They only have frozen pizza- So make sure you bring food before you come here. Otherwise the owner is very nice and friendly.

The water in the reservoir was pretty dirty and smelly. The beers on draught were quite expensive, although the ones in the campsite shop for better priced. The toilets were clean, and other guests were respectful. If youre a Dutch family this is the place for you! If youre from anywhere else and not travelling as a family then I would not recommend this place.

We visited this campsite for only night while traveling back home from Switzerland. First I want to say that I was very surprised that it is in a such a lovely location and the lake it is by is not crowded as the bigger lakes in Italy. We stayed only one night and got one of last two pitches as we did not make reservation, but it was fine. Overall cleanliness of the campsite is good, pitches are quite level and electricity is near so it ticks most of the boxes. Toilets do not have any paper, but we have noticed that is standard in Italy, so we came prepared:) 3-my first complaint is, that there is no possibility to pay with card (credit or debit), luckily we hade some reserve cash with us. Again this is quite common issue in Italy that I do not understand - well actually I do. If you use credit cards, than all the payments are electronically marked and there is no room for skimming on taxes. That wasn’t the biggest issue 4 - as mentioned, we spend only one night as we were traveling the very next day. It was one of the hottest weeks in this summer in Italy and our camper doesn’t not have A/C. that’s why we did all our driving as early in the morning as possible especially because we had dog with us. I got the feeling we annoyed the lady at reception just by coming there as she had to do some actual work so when I asked nicely if I can pay the bill during check in as we are leaving early, I was told that yes but we cant leave before 8AM. We are using camping sites a lot every year and in many European countries so I very well understand the "silence rule" between some reasonable times (10 or 11 pm until 6 or 7 AM). To clarify - our plan was to leave at 7AM but I was told that is possible as the gate opens at 8. I asked if there is any possibility to open the gate a little earlier as every minute counted with the heat on the road and was told that it is not possible because the gate is ELECTRONIC!. It was a learning moment for me as I didn’t know that electronic gates are unable to open with a remote :) I hope there will never be a need for emergency in that campsite as the ambulance personnel would need to run inside if it happens outside the ELECTRONIC gate time schedule... But o.k. - it was pointless to argue as the customer satisfaction is not on their top 10 list.

Even though the location is beautiful, in front of a beautiful lake, Gajole camping makes you feel constantly not at ease. They charge you for everything, there is no toilet paper, no soap, difficultly any hot water (even no gas in the beer only beer we ordered there). We found the service very cold and not very pleasant. We weren't to leave the place after two nights.

Nice quiet and cosy campsite near the lake. On one part of the camping you have a wonderful view on Lago di Corlo. Staff is friendly and willing to help. The toilets and showers are clean. Swimming in the lake is not possible directly from the camp site but there is a private spot close to the camp site. The size of our pitch was fine, but when it became busy some pitches were very small.

Nice campsite at the lake. Beautiful views. Small places, but think that applies to whole Italy. All facilities were clean. Campsite has own private beach were we had a lot of fun. I would recommend everyone to visit the 'ghost town' in the neighborhood and waterbicycle on the lake.
