Conosciuto anche come Jacovazzi, era soprannominato 'O Lione per la sua carica agonistica.
Antonio Valese, detto "Totonno" (1913 – 1986), è stato un calciatore e allenatore di calcio italiano, di ruolo centrocampista ed è stato lo storico capitano della Salernitana che ottenne per la prima volta la promozione in Serie A. Ha segnato il primo goal per la Salernitana nella storia dei derby contro il Napoli.
