Non siamo riusciti a trovare questo sito archeologico, a un certo punto la Maps ci indicava un luogo ma al posto del sito c’era un ovile con un pastore che ci guardava in cagnesco. Abbiamo chiesto poco più avanti e nessuno sapeva nulla. Ecco la Sicilia che non si cura dei suoi tesori, non so di chi sia la sovrintendenza, regione, provincia, comune di Calatafimi, Castellammare del Golfo? Però è una vergogna. Altre persone cercavano come noi e forse quotidianamente tanta gente cerca questo sito archeologico sperduto nel nulla oltraggiato dall’autostrada. Chiamiamo Indiana Jones , forse lui lo scoprirà. Forse, dovrà affrontare il temibile pastore. Calathamet or the archaeological site indicated in the signs but lost in the void. Il suo nome fa riferimento, oltre che alla sua posizione geografica rispetto ai bagni termali, ad un luogo fortificato conosciuto già in epoca islamica, come testimoniano i reperti. P. S. Vi sono numerose telecamere di sorveglianza, altamente SCONSIGLIATO avventurarsi per i fatti propri, anche per la pericolosità del luogo. Per visitarlo basta semplicemente chiedere al proprietario dei terreni, che altri non è che il temibile pastore descritto da qualcuno sotto. Egli molto cordialmente vi accompagnerà lungo un sentiero sicuro a visitare i resti di Calathamet, che comprendono un castello e una abitazione, condendo la visita con qualche spiegazione e aneddoti divertenti. È consigliabile lasciargli una mancia. Ripeto comunque che avventurarsi da soli sulla collina del sito corrisponde a violazione di proprietà privata; se non volete beccarvi una denuncia, o chiedete l autorizzazione o lasciate stare.
