★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rome does not have many places in which to enjoy a leisurely cup of tea, especially away from the city center. Café Merenda is cozy, inviting, with delicious sweets, a great selection of teas and very nice staff. The coffee, however, is not that great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cakes are delicious with a homemade feel. But lots to be work on regarding service... Inattentive staff, unlabelled cakes and pastries, and at times staff smokes outside the cafè...teeny details that may ruin the experience of clientele.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good coffee, but very expensive prices, desserts are not very fresh. They were hard to cut them or even to bite. Also the sandwich, felt like made few days ago.
You get good impressions from the reviews and the photos of this place, but the place is not very bright, looks very dark, and very small variety of options for dessert or to eat.
Some people sitting outside right near the doorway, and smoking. They were not even drinking or eating anything. Not very good vibe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wonder what they gain from cheating Tourists.. I was charged 3 euro for a very very small piece of cake which was not actually flesh from its taste. They are cheats. when you speak English be ready to pay double compared to a local. its a common practice in Rome, cheating Tourists
