C92 - Valdicerro Observatory

L'OAV è uno dei tanti osservatori astronomici privati presenti in Italia, ed è nato dalla profonda passione di un uomo che, senza conoscerne il perché, si è innamorato dell'Astronomia da bambino. Galassie lontane, coloratissime nebulose, ammassi di stelle e strani pianeti popolano il nostro Universo. Pur trovandosi in una cittadina illuminata da migliaia di lampade, da questo luogo vengono oggi svolte attività un tempo proibite, come la fotografia astronomica di oggetti deep-sky o la ricerca di supernova extragalattiche. La tecnologia digitale di oggi permette infatti di vedere al di là della coltre di luce prodotta dalle città, un velo sottile che purtroppo riesce a nascondere dalla nostra vista quei luoghi. Ma essi sono sempre lì, quasi a negare l'esistenza del tempo e dello spazio, mostrando a tutti la magnificenza del creato...
