★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have never been this uncomfortable at a food / drinks place. While the design and the layout of this place look really really nice, especially with the wooden chairs and tables outside, this place was... dirty to say the least. The chairs and tables were extremely sticky, the music is incredibly loud and the waiters were pretty unfriendly, basically berating us for wanting to wait a bit longer to choose what / if we wanted to get something. The prices are at least 1-2€ above EVERY place I have seen in the neighbourhood, if not more and if you want to stay in a group, every single person has to buy something (otherwise you will be thrown out). The portions I have seen were ridiculously tiny for the prices they charged.
What irked me the most, however, was the fact that the bill was simply slammed onto our table without anyone asking us if maybe we wanted to order more.
This place is spitting in the face of everything their design (BUDDHISM, guys, BUDDHISM, you remember? Being humble? Not hoarding excessive riches? Not unfairly taking from others? Being kind?) stands for.
I expect this from a touristy place in the center of Rome but definitely not in this area. To say I am disappointed is a harsh understatement.
Also: The place was extremely packed and there was barely any distancing rules (plus: the tables were pretty close to each other) despite COVID-19 still going on.
