★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surrounded by lush countryside and overlooking the coast and the mountains, with an ancient church building and ample parking and walking space, the restaurant has two impeccably restored and furnished old dining rooms with exposed brick vaults, a friendly yet attentive waiting service, and a range of tasty traditional dishes of the Teraman cuisine such as fresh egg chitarra pasta with tiny meatballs and tomato sauce or small omelettes in a light hen broth, all well executed. A la carte mains €13-20, tasting menu €40. A must try if you're in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The country side location and the idyllic surrounding of Borgo Spoltino are a real abruzzese highlight! For private events of any kind, weddings, or just the occasional live music concert it is ideal and in my opinion it doesn't get much better than this. But the dot on the i is the -far beyond excellent- food and also the selection of mostly regional wine is breathtaking. As you can see, I cannot recommend Borgo Spoltino highly enough! 100% worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent. Quantity is never lacking in Abbruzzo; but the quality was fantastic. Simple dishes, respecting age-old recipes, but always with a surprising twist. The lentils were super tasty - but the dish was deeper and contained more than the eye bargained for. The rack of ribs at the end was a challenge not to be wasted once it was discovered that it had been marinated for hours and THEN cooked for over 5 hours in a wood-fired oven. How often do you come across a dish like that. Choice of wine top.....
