★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a crossroad of ethnicities and social classes. It is a place where a woman with the permanent and fur coat stands side by side with a pusher, while a group of artists take a picture of a black thrash bin and an outstanding exhibition takes place in a corner.
Not a really safe place though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is an unsafe place, DON USE IT, my wife and i made a transfer with FLIXBUS, going from Florence to Nice.
The bus was 1 Hour late and they sent a message telling it would be a 10 minutes delay. And the transfer station in Bologna was closed , with no much activity but other people waiting for some buses as well. It was cold and the waiting room was full of homeless people, also there were some young local guys dinking alcohol in one part of the station.
All the passengers of the FLIXBUS N482 were concerned wondering were the bus was !!
Anyway. I know these are low cost bus lines. But they should look for safe places for their passengers to wait. One thing is to wait for 1 Hour delayed bus during the day, when there is people going around an normal activities. And other when you are past midnight in a lonely cold closed placed full of homeless and street drunk guys. And also when i tried to call customer service guess what? NO ANSWER!
And my review is based in our experience and based on the faces of the people waiting the same bus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you come here to wait for a bus after dark, you may die. Thought I was about to be stabbed because I don’t have any cigarettes to give out to the lowlifes and delinquents hanging about. One of the scariest bus stations I have waited at. Also filthy, smells like piss and not enough seating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small and simple bus station, near to the train station and near to the center. To get to the centre just follow via Independenza. There is a screen with the actual timetable, but it doesn't reflect what's really going on (I once thought the bus had already left, but it was still there!).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bus station in Bologna is still renovated, toilets are outside of the building and there is very little place to sit and wait for the bus. Anyway, it’s easy to find the bus you’re looking for.
