Il bivacco è molto bello e ben tenuto, sembra spesso e sufficientemente isolante dall'ambiente esterno. Chiamando in rifugio ci hanno detto che era pieno in quei giorni, ma alla fine i posti disponibili c'erano, peccato per questo. Comunque andateci se siete appassionati vale la pena fare la salita e passare la notte li. Anche perché due tre ore servono per salire. E non risulta sempre semplicissimo. Man mano che salite guardate verso l'alto e verso il basso: il panorama strepitoso cambia continuamente. Sul bel prato che lo circonda c'è una vista a 360° delle cime che circonda a corona la conca, aperto solo il lato di salita/discesa per la valle Montanaia. In 2 ore e mezzo ci si può arrivare dal rif. Pordenone. Un pò di attenzione nella discesa sul tratto poco dopo il campanile per superare dei gradoni con grossi sassi, niente di di difficile. Per i più audaci vi è la possibilità di scalare il campanile (da portarsi però corde e moschettoni). F	Francesco Losi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo panorama e vallata incantevole. Sicuramente uno dei bivacchi più suggestivi delle Dolomiti. La vista del campanile è di rara bellezza. Si raggiunge con percorso ripido ma semplice (non adatto a tutti) in circa 2 ore dal rifugio Pordenone e da qui è possibile raggiungere anche la forcella Montanaia da cui si può intercettare l’altro sentiero di salita che sopraggiunge dal rifugio Padova. Itinerario su percorso detritico che nonostante non lo si possa definire un normale sentiero da passeggiata presenta una quantità eccessiva di frequentatori, con tanto di rallentamenti in discesa dovuti al numero di persone presenti.
