I do not understand how it manages to stay afloat (pun intended) while cancelling each and every ferry to the eolian islands for three days straight because of the "bad weather". A few clouds and some wind does not qualify as bad weather! Moreover the staff in Messina is very unhelpful and the refunds are given within TWO MONTHS!! Avoid this company at all Costa!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My review is for the Liberty Lines staff at Milazzo and Stromboli.
Extremely disorganised, most of the staff is unfriendly with rare exceptions. The worst experience was in Stromboli where the check in lady was shouting at people: very rude.
They are just lucky they basically have monopoly there otherwise they would not survive.

Required to wear a mask on board even though almost nobody wore it properly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fast boat, seems like a very reliable service, plenty of room aboard and space to store your luggage. Reasonably priced, but very noisy on board, can’t stand outside so no fresh air, no refreshments available. Basically like getting a (fast) bus but on water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive, old, the ships are never in time but they leave you on the doc, even if they could wait. On board you have the sensation of instability, the wind makes the ship shifting sideways.
Theoretically travel time is 25 mins, but it requires 10 more for the people to disembark.
On the doc it is cold and windy; anyway I admit there are two shelters, one open-walls, the other provided with restroom, conditioning and coffee machine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BE CAREFUL ! We took a boat to go to Stromboli. 1h30 announced, and a travelling time of 2h. 15 minutes late for the first trip, 45 minutes late for the second.
You can book, but you'll take a big risk.
