Da qui si può accedere alla scala del campanile, un vero gioiello architettonico che sembra essere stato progettato da Michelangelo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situato nella piazza centrale di Pietrasanta troviamo il Duomo, se siamo fortunati e il tempo lo permette, possiamo ammirare qualche meravigliosa opera esposta in questa piazza dato che questa è la famosa "città degli artisti".
Located in the central square of Pietrasanta we find the Duomo, if we are lucky and time permits, we can admire some wonderful works exhibited in this square since this is the famous "city of artists".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Duomo si trova nella piazza centrale del paese non molto distante dal parcheggio per cui è molto comodo arrivarci. Da fuori l’edificio è affascinante ed è il preludio allo stile architettonico inconfondibile dell’intero paese. Dalla piazza è anche possibile vedere le Alpi Apuane
The Duomo is located in the central square of the town not far from the parking lot so it is very convenient to get there. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il campanile del Duomo di San Martino in Pietrasanta è edificato a lato della Cattedrale e posteriore. Il Duomo è medievale mentre il Campanile è rinascimentale (1519). Al suo interno vi è una scala autoportante elicoidale formata da gradini (100) di marmo. Scala molto simile a quella presente nella colonna Traiana in Roma. Il Campanile risulta incompiuto in quanto avrebbe dovuto essere ricoperto di marmo. Mentre mai lo fu e rimane alla vista formato da mattoni.
