β β β β β Such a beautiful place. The view is just astonishing. And it is not that big of a climb. And what is really awesome is that you can actually explore the building itself and look through the window to city. And while climbing after every couple of turns a new and better look appears, but once you reach the end of the path itβs like 10 times better, because nothing obstructs your view. Highly recommend.

β β β β β Restorant has magnificent view! You can get up by gondola-like thingy or by foot by some mountain trail (we used gondola route). Food is excellent and prices are very good (cheaper then in Bologna, for example). Staff is also very nice.
You should call to make reservation, because it is full all the time. All recommendations ??????

β β β β β Menu flatters to deceive! Expensive limited choices. Then there was a problem with the funicular and we had to leave half way through dinner leaving half eaten food to catch the last one at 9.30 as we were not in a position to walk down a steep path in the dark. Plenty of apologies but no discount for having to leave our food. Very very disappointed in the food and their attitude!!!

β β β β β Bastione, one of the, if not the best restaurant in Riva del Garda.
Yes, it is expensive to dine here, but you are not only paying for excellent food and wine, you are getting a experience.
It starts with, (you decide) a walk up, or a ride with a little cable car. (5β¬ in the evening up and down)
Have dinner with the most scenic views over whole riva and the Lago di Garda.
Get served by caring waiters who recommend you wine, the perfect sidedish for your food and bring a good mood to your table everytime they are serving something.
The food takes some time, it is well prepared, but the wait is worth it.
In the waiting time you are getting (free) snacks and can enjoy the View.
If you decide, it's not time to eat, the bastione also has a outside area where you can enjoy coffee, cocktails, or whatever fluid hot and cold is on the menu.
Don't miss the opportunity to have a unique and exclusive vacation experience.
It's recommended to make a reservation.
Due to covid, the restaurant can't provide any blankets and cushions for the seats. So it can get a little bit fresh. Best to take a light jacket with you and come in long pants.
