★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this church feels very cozy and welcoming. a few interesting details:
● it was built over an ancient etruscan temple as a manifestation of the Virgin Mary following.
● it looks very similar to its appearance in the 14th century but it has undergone extensive restoration after WWII as it was severely damaged.
● the church houses also a museum with important pieces of books, paintings and art, such as possibly the oldest patchwork known in Europe.
