★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you live in Trieste and find yourself in need of some relaxing time with your friends, maybe just for drinks or a small picnic after a hard day's work and you are in no mood to travel far, make a reservation at a restaurant or even get ready, look no further Barcola beach area around the fountain is your location. The place would be packed almost every evening in the summer. The spot also provides an unobstructed view of the sunset. There is also a shop nearby where you can grab yourself some drinks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful fountain on the waterfront in the middle of a green area with a seaside pedestrian boulevard. Cute little bar just right of the fountain when looking at the water that serves drinks and snacks and has ping pong and volleyball as well as mats to sit on if you want to stay in the grassy area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beachfront park with trees, fountain and a great bar that provides beach mats and hammocks. You can have an aperitif, watch the sunset and the many locals who frequent this place. It's also possible to enter the water even though it's not a declare bathing place. Wonderful for sunset drinks. On some evenings there's live music that's also very good. Great atmosphere, no WiFi
