★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alla trattoria 40 mi sento a casa. La cucina di Elena é semplice e gustosa, con i prodotti freschi di giornata. Il locale ha il sapore di una antica locanda, impreziosita da foto del centro storico di Grottole. La trattoria 40 é il tipico luogo dove tornare sempre. Antipasto buonissimo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
I feel at home at trattoria 40. Elena's cuisine is simple and tasty, with fresh products of the day. The restaurant has the flavor of an ancient inn, embellished with photos of the historic center of Grottole. Trattoria 40 is the typical place to always return to. Yummy appetizer. Excellent value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo capitati per caso in questo ristorante dopo aver cercato invano di pranzare in diversi agriturismi della zona.
In verità, l'esterno non si presenta bene ? e anche l'interno è un pò datato.
Ma siamo stati accolti con cortesia nonostante fosse già abbastanza tardi.
Gli antipasti erano molto buoni, tutta roba locale, immagino.
Il primo di mio marito era ottimo. Il sugo di braciola delle mie orecchiette... insomma.
Ottimi i dessert!
We happened upon this restaurant by chance after trying in vain to have lunch in several farmhouses in the area.
Actually, the outside doesn't look good ? and the inside is a bit dated too.
But we were greeted with courtesy even though it was already quite late.
The starters were very good, all local stuff I guess.
My husband's first was great. The chop sauce of my orecchiette ... in short.
Excellent desserts!
