★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Bar centrale è una presenza fissa in quasi tutti i comuni d’Italia, ma a Rocca di Papa ci piace chiamarlo “da Mimmo”, come il suo storico fondatore che veniva dalla Sicilia e si trasferì qui dopo la guerra. Un bar dove si respira ancora quell’atmosfera vintage di un tempo, con i vassoi marroni scuri, gli arredamenti austeri e severi e un servizio cortese ma amichevole, quasi di famiglia. Fare colazione sotto il pergolato d’estate è d’obbligo, godendosi il fresco e mangiando le specialità della pasticceria preparate nel loro laboratorio. Non fatevi scappare i muffin appena sfornati e la Pinolata, un gelato così buono che vorrete mangiarlo tutti i giorni!
The central bar is a permanent presence in almost all the municipalities of Italy, but in Rocca di Papa we like to call it "da Mimmo", after its historic founder who came from Sicily and moved here after the war. A bar where you can still breathe that vintage atmosphere of yesteryear, with dark brown trays, austere and severe furnishings and courteous but friendly service, almost like a family. Having breakfast under the pergola in summer is a must, enjoying the coolness and eating the pastry specialties prepared in their laboratory. Don't miss the freshly baked muffins and the Pinolata, an ice cream so good you will want to eat it every day!
