Il progetto fu elaborato dall'Ufficio Tecnico dello stesso Istituto e presentato al Podestà del Comune di Salerno nell’agosto del 1928. Approvato il 23 agosto, la costruzione del semiinterrato - da utilizzare a deposito e archivi - e dei tre livelli, il primo con una grande sala destinata al pubblico e gli altri due riservati agli uffici provinciali, iniziò rapidamente così da essere inaugurato l’8 febbraio 1931.
Historic and imposing building whose architectural style follows that of the "nineteenth-century palaces" in vogue in the nineteenth century.
The project was developed by the Technical Office of the same Institute and presented to the Podestà of the Municipality of Salerno in August 1928. Approved on 23 August, the construction of the basement - to be used as a deposit and archives - and of the three levels, the first with a large hall intended for the public and the other two reserved for provincial offices, quickly began so as to be inaugurated on February 8, 1931.
