Courteous and attentive the receptionist contacted us shortly after the reservation made in the afternoon of the day of arrival. Upon our arrival it was already on site. The b & b is a modern apartment in the center. conditioned air. Free parking in front of the house.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went away for the weekend with another couple and two dogs, hence we had to find a place that would accept dogs and ended up at Villa Lidia.
The place was fine - right on the main road in Tocco - not in some quiet olive orchard as the pictures might lead you to believe.
However, the location in town was great for walking to two different wineries and enjoying the town, coffee bar, etc.
The place was clean but needs some maintenance. They show a big bathtub but when my wife went to use it, there is no plug?! I went to make a cappuccino and the steam arm on the machine doesn’t work (owner, Simone, was standing right there so I asked and he said, “it doesn’t work. I never use it.” Which kinda misses the point, no?)
When I went into the unused bedroom on the ground floor, there was a huge basket of dirty linens?! Why?! And on that note, the beds were old and worn and uncomfortable and the pillows terrible. Thank goodness Simone had set us up with a few great wineries to visit, or I would never have been able to sleep?!
The place was fine… but it needs some maintenance (check those light fixtures in the kitchen Simone) and better bedding and mattresses.
