Perfect for a short stay

We had an excellent stay here.The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful.Excellent location and the owner had very good knowledge of local restaurants and landmarks to visit.Our favourite b&b that we visited in Sicily!

Our room was very comfortable, Claudio and Dorothea were brilliant hosts and the breakfast is very nice, with great tasting local food.

This hotel is in a great location near local market and piazza and among restaurants and shops . We walked approx 20 from Palermo train station. Breakfast was great including coffee, juice, a croissant, bread, jam, olives, tomatoes and fruit. The hotel doesn't have a lift which was ok for us but might not suit some.. The rooms were great, clean with wi-fi , bathrooms, table and chairs . There was no TV as advertised and it was very noisy at night and hard to sleep. Also in a very dark, narrow street

Claudio is a wonderful host. Very knowledgeable and hospitable. His BnB is in the heart of Palermo, next to the well known Alla Vucciria. Very nice bedrooms, all beautifully furnished and decorated. I have made it a point to stay with Claudio any time I travel to Sicily as he is even more than just a great host, he has also become a great friend.

Claudio seems to be a nice guy who can give information about Palermo and Sicily at all. Unfortunately we just a short conversation. Via WhatsApp he quickly responded to an any questions or problems. The double room I've been assigned to is spacious and was very clean. Unfortunately the gallery is still under construction. There is also a bad smell coming from the bathroom sometimes. Due to the location in the Vucceria it might get loud at night. So if you have to go to bed early better bring some plugs. Wifi didn't work when I was there. Due to covid-19 Claudio didn't serve any breakfast. Instead I got a coupon for a coffee and e.g. a croissant at the Lucchese bar downstairs. I didn't get along with that so Claudio gave me a little discount. Overall I wouldn't stay there again. The location is okay, it's loud but close to the historic center and port as well. It's also just a 10 minute walk to the station. Parking might be horrible. But the smell in the bathroom, the construction that is still going on in the room and the not-so-nice breakfast won't make me stay again here. Unfortunately Claudio didn't tell me about the breakfast and wifi. On his website he advertises both, so I was looking forward to some typical sicilian specialties.

In a building from 50's which has never been renovated, 3rd floor no lift of course, the neighbor's kitchen window was a couple of meters away so I felt like they were cooking in my room (even with my window close) and besides the mattress which was good I think the rest of the b&b (felt and looked like a hostel, no privacy) needs a total renovation starting from the bathroom first.
