Arrivo un po' prima del tempo e resto in attesa, non c'era nessuno, quindi pensavo di essere chiamata, mi affaccio palesando la mia presenza ma niente, la ostetrica riceve una telefonata personale che pur non volendo ascolto del tutto, dopodiché mi riaffaccio e mi fa entrare, nemmeno una parola intercorre tra noi, procede a scrivere i miei dati e con una avarizia di parole assoluta mi indica di accomodarmi sulla lettiga, faccio un accenno alla mia ansia e chiedo se sentirò male... Giusto per rompere quel silenzio, per sentire quel mínimo di contatto umano che ci rassicura, che ci conferma che non siamo un número : nessuna indicazione, davanti a quella fredda, assettica prestazioni, lavoro nel settore sanitario e mi chiedo : Da cuando abbiamo perso ogni senso di umanità, empatia, devozione per il nostro lavoro. È una cosa molto triste per quella operatrice trovarsi a fare un lavoro in qui non coinvolge se stessa e non riesce a dare un accenno di comunicazione a chi fornisce quella minima prestazione, ma è anche più penoso per noi che senza meritarcelo dobbiamo accettare quelle scarse prestazioni. Spero la signora si faccia un esame di coscienza e comprenda che quelle che si trova davanti sono persone.

Just to break that silence, to hear that minimum of human contact that reassures us, which confirms that we are not a number: no indication, in front of that cold, dynamic performance, I work in the health sector and I ask myself: Since when we have lost all sense of humanity, empathy, devotion to our work. It is a very sad thing for that operator to find herself doing a job in which she does not involve herself and she is unable to give a hint of communication to those who provide that minimum service, but it is also more painful for us that without deserving it we have to accept those poor performances. . I hope the lady examines her conscience and understands that those in front of her are people.
