★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Somewhat oddly unwelcoming experience. We were referred to the place after a superb experience at Poliziano, but this visit was disappointing. Admittedly the view of Montalcino is excellent, but the hospitality here is in short supply, for no apparent reason.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great wines, but a subpar tasting experience. We were immediately asked to pick a tasting experience and quickly advised of the charge. We were ushered to a table and shared a wine tasting rep with another table. We were also offered only one glass despite trying multiple red varieties and had to several times request a second tasting of a wine to compare to another. Our experience at this winery paled in comparison to our tasting experience at Poderi le Ripi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The visit is worth just for the tasting. Everything else is nothing more than what you see in any winery. There is one perhaps: the arrogance of the host Borjana - we are the best and everything else is not worth trying, visiting, experiencing. She only drinks Casanova, Giaccomo is rich enough never to accept a load of money for his winery, he knows everything and doesn't need to try anything new or different, and so on...
