Passati alla degustazione é stato un crescendo di sensazioni. In ogni calice si percepisce la qualità e il messaggio che si é voluto esprimere, mai scontato. Di ottimo livello le varietà di Barolo proposte. Degno di nota, per quanto riguarda la degustazione, lasciare le bottiglie degli assaggi al tavolo, un gesto informale che ti fa sentire ben accolto. Grazie. At the invitation of a dear friend, I got to know this winery. Mauro was an excellent Cicero in the presentation of the wines and the territory. Switching to tasting was a crescendo of sensations. In every glass we perceive the quality and the message we wanted to express, never taken for granted. The Barolo varieties offered are excellent. Noteworthy, as far as the tasting is concerned, leave the tasting bottles at the table, an informal gesture that makes you feel well received. Thank you.

We stopped by unannounced, and were greeted warmly by Mauro, who then stopped what he was doing to take us through an extensive tasting. We sampled 8 wines, including premium Barolo wines - but it is worth noting that all wines we tried were amongst the best we have tried in Piedmonte (and beyond). Mauro was very kind and helpful, as well as thorough in his explanations about the wines. We left with several bottles and look forward to many more being shipped to us - thank you, Mauro!

What happens if you're an artisanal producer and your wine is produced in a humble facility? The people and the vine will make the difference. At Alessandro Rivetto, we're lucky to have Alessandro walking us through the vineyard and explaining all the plain little practices in the vineyard. The tasting became so natural and enjoyable. A very good memory!
