★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Aussichtsturm ist eingezäunt und nicht mehr begehbar. Dennoch lohnt eine Wanderung dorthin, die Aussicht ist auch ohne Turm fantastisch.
The observation tower is fenced in and no longer accessible. Nevertheless, a hike there is worthwhile, the view is fantastic even without the tower.

Il Monte Calamita è il promontorio situato a sud-est dell’Isola d’Elba, nel cuore del Parco Nazionale Arcipelago Toscana ed era sede delle miniere di Capoliveri attive fino agli anni ‘80
Il nome è dato in quanto ricchissimo di magnetite, un minerale molto particolare, in quanto ha il più alto tenore di ferro e le più intense proprietà magnetiche esistente in natura.

Monte Calamita is the promontory located south-east of the Island of Elba, in the heart of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park and was home to the Capoliveri mines active until the 1980s
The name is given as it is very rich in magnetite, a very particular mineral, as it has the highest iron content and the most intense magnetic properties existing in nature.
