The b & b, the alley of Cilento, has very comfortable rooms, welcoming staff and thanks to its position exceptional views. Convenient location for walking to the historic center and the village center. To descend to the river heat you can walk along a narrow road with natural paths, which makes you discover even more the history of the place.

The welcome is their strong point, the owner Alessandro and his wife are very friendly. The structure with its rooms and the common terrace has breathtaking visits. The place is very strategic near the historic center and near a beautiful nature trail to descend down to the river heat. Recommended for lovers of nature and relaxation.

β β β β β If I could give a higher rating I would - We only had a few short days and 4 nights in the Southern Italian region and it was pure happenstance that lead us to find Alessandro and his elegantly yet comfortably restored family home that he offers as a B + B. He is the consummate host - taking care of many details small and large and making us feel welcome, starting from meeting us at the road so we wouldn't get lost (which laughingly was the case anyway, just turn right at the olive tree will send us into peals of laughter for many years to come!!! We felt at home while he offered us services above and beyond the normal B and B host, As a people's person and with years of professional training Alessandro quickly assessed what we were interested in and we managed to absorb an extraordinary amount of information, but more importantly simpatico for the history of his village, the beauty of the surroundings and a taste of the delicious food and wine of the region. We shared our picnic dinner with him, and he insisted we had to taste some local wine, in fact from the very spot he met us on the road, Charming and magical.... we had broad smiles on our faces for the entire stay and only wished we had more time to talk and explore.
For us, even though we only managed to spend one night, it was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Italy. the level of restoration of Alessandro's 12th century home, complete with clean, lovely modern features, yet dripping with history and charm is nothing short of amazing. You are walking through the stone paths of a 10th century medieval fortress and village and in the "alleyways" of Felitto in the Cilento region, nestled on the edge of a beautiful national park, you enter the B and B and are transported into a magical place. Magic is the only word that accurately describes it. Our room was comfortable and modern, yet not out of place with the foundation of the surroundings, ancient stone surroundings oozing with history and charm. Step out on your private balcony and feel like Juliet or Romeo - high above the valley and the views of homes and olive trees and vineyards dotting the landscape, peaks into the alleyways and pathways of the stone village, murmurs in Italian of everyday life - this is not a busy tourist trap, this is a village of real Italian life - and that for us was a huge part of it's charm. But to me the piece d'resistance was two fold - one was the 10th century church which beckoned at me as I opened the window in our room - there it was in all it's glory - a simple large stone bell tower - gorgeous against the landscape with a plain and unfussy cross sitting right atop - it was not a church of intricate carvings or marble - yet it's heavy stones and simple design spoke to me and had me imagining the dedication and devotion this magnificent building had seen over the centuries - yearning for "time travel" and feeling briefly that I had stepped back in time. The second piece is quite simply the passion that Alessandro has for hospitality. Hubby and I are caterers and chefs in NYC and we have been in the hospitality business for many years. This host just is a natural and he made us welcome guests in his family home and felt like we were instant friends, and shared his home, his village, his stories and enhanced our experience as only someone with his level of proessionalism and passion could!

β β β β β Located in the scenic town of Felitto, the Al Vicolo de Cilento was the perfect choice of accommodation for our 4 days visit to Cilento and Vallo di Diano national park.
Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Alessandro e Antonella, the owners of this charming B&B.
We had a very spacious room with a brand new bathroom (great shower), impeccably clean, a balcony with breathtaking views of the National Park and fast internet connection.
Alessandro was the perfect host. Speaking a great English he eagerly helped us to choose the best destinations in the park, the most efficient and idyllic routes, combined with names of superb family owned restaurant destinations.
Every morning Antonella would prepare the most delicious home made breakfast with a mouth-watering freshly baked vegan cake.
Staying there made all the difference to our trip, and we canβt say enough nice things about Al Vicolo del Cilento.

β β β β β I was there with my wife for a weekend in the National Park of Cilento. The structure is situated in the medieval center of Felitto and completely restructured with much taste and cure of details. The rooms are modern and comfortable, each of them with a special theme. Airco is available but not necessary even in July since the structure, which is partly built in the rocks, remains perfectly cool by itself. The owner couple, Antonella and Alessandro, is a typical example of southern-Italian hospitality. They see their task more as a mission than a job and offer much more than an excellent Bed and Breakfast.
