Le norme di carattere regionale ne stabiliscono l'appartenenza o meno all'albo regionale, valutata la presenza di determinati requisiti. Molte Pro Loco hanno sottoscritto l'adesione all'Unione Nazionale delle Pro Loco d'Italia (UNPLI) . Va precisato che l'adesione alle suddette organizzazioni nazionali non qualifica come ente una Pro Loco, la sua iscrizione non è significativa, infatti, di un imprimatur di carattere pubblico e non conferisce ad essi poteri di intervento e controllo. Nelle Sedi di Monterotondo comunque regna il nulla. Fino a qualche anno fa venivano svolti diversi eventi nel corso dell’anno. Oggi più che mai, magari anche per mancanze di fondi degli enti preposti, non viene svolta un’attività per la cittadinanza che anzi lamenta queste inerzie di loro sedi abbandonate. Infatti in pieno centro di Monterotondo, denominata La Passeggiata, c’è un box-desk installato per far conoscere il territorio anche ai numerosi turisti presenti. È sempre con la saracinesca abbassata. Le associazioni sono nate per essere centri di vita associativa e non hospice!. It is one of the local associations, born with the purpose of promotion and development of the territory.
