I was followed in this center for about 4 years. Before I was followed only by Dr. Carbone (psychologist) and a nutritionist, for a short time (Cristian). I didn't resolve my dca. Pushed several times by my psychologist, I then decided to do the so-called day hospital and I was assigned to another nutritionist (Alessandra Piccolino). During the day hospital I did not feel well, the meals were scarce, especially as regards the vegetables, divided with the dropper. Despite receiving a lot of money, they save at the expense of the customers. The diet is the same for everyone with some variations, which seems to me already absurd in itself considering that everyone is different, even if only logically. My nutritional interviews lasted about 10 minutes and I was simply weighed on a disc scale, that's the way it is for everyone. So there is no accuracy regarding body composition or cm, it is based only on the number which, as we know, does not tell us how much fat or lean mass there is, how much water and so on. During the period of my stay there were many other girls, none of them recovered, indeed, they were just worse and some were forced to leave because they could not pay. They would be an ONLUS, they ask for contributions that WOULD BE voluntary but in reality they ask to pay fixed amounts and if you don't have a lot of fuss and, in the end, those who can no longer bear the considerable expense, leave. At the time of the day hospital, the numbers increased exponentially and I complained to Dr. Piccolino who not only did not meet me but also made comments on my situation with other patients and her 10 minute interviews cost € 30. Receipts have never been seen. Following a tragic and sudden personal event that occurred during my journey to the center, I decided to stop everything and continue differently. I could cite a thousand unpleasant episodes but I limit myself to saying that in this center they are very unwilling to criticize so I will not be surprised at all if I am threatened with a complaint even here (this time it is the right one, isn't it?) Or I will be accused of lying, everything it's possible, only I'm telling the holy holy truth. Be wary of those who react to criticism with behaviors that are more suited to teenagers than professionals but, on the other hand, this is the level. Finally, the nutritionists who work in this center are, at times, former patients still with an eating disorder or recent graduates in nutrition sciences. So you who have had a disorder for maybe 20 years, you will be entrusted to people who graduated the day before yesterday. Not even the shadow of doctors. In conclusion, if you have the misfortune of having a DCA and having it in Perugia, I recommend that you go to the Umbrian dietary center, a center that has existed for years and years, where people who have been dealing with DCA and nutrition for decades and who work there. with passion, with dedication and with a lot of attention to the patient. As well as, with so much professionalism. The prices are more or less the same as those you would spend for a "voluntary contribution" to the Pellicano, except that they make you the tax receipts and the quality is diametrically opposite. Not very serious, unprofessional, little everything. NOT RECOMMENDED.

I was followed by this center for 3 years and I was assigned to Dr. Carbone then, after the first year, the (external) psychiatrist decided to change psychologist to try to buffer a disastrous situation and curb continuous hospitalizations. For the entire duration of the course, I held interviews with Dr. Piccolino. I started from a slight state of overweight and at the beginning I lost weight very quickly, but after not being able to follow the same restrictive diet again I took 50 kg reaching a weight never reached before. They propose a nutritional plan that is the same for everyone (if not with some slight changes). Only the first year I spent, in cash and without having the receipt, about € 6,000 of voluntary but essential contributions to be part of their program, I believe that the prices are disproportionate for the very low quality of the services offered. In these years I have wasted money and time, the eating disorder has only changed but not resolved and psychologically now I can say that I am better only thanks to my new therapists. I have also lost a few kg since I stopped going to the Pelican and I hope that I will soon find the right center for me.

Professionalism, kindness, a warm and familiar welcome are the best business card of this specialized center.

Apparently I'm not the only one disappointed with this center. Followed by them for a period due to difficulties with food, they give me a diet that makes me gain weight and which fortunately I followed for a short time. Although I do not consume meals from them and at the time I was a precarious worker off-site, I only go to them for interviews with a psychologist and nutritionist, which are practically my monologues, never received decisive or comforting words. At each meeting I am asked with insistence to pay a "compulsory voluntary" contribution: I am still waiting for the receipts. In the face of the non-profit organization!
