★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One Pacentro resident just turned 100 years old. His name is Alfiero Pitassi. They had a ceremony & party for him in the piazza. He was presented with a certificate from the mayor, and another that was delivered from the pope. A full meal was served including local soup of beans and vegetables, potato bread, and pizza, pasta & vino too, plus a huge cake in the shape of 100, with singing and confetti throughout the evening. It was a lot of fun to join in a local celebration and he was all smiles to see hundreds of his pisano’s out to congratulate him.
