Esse é o edifício mais representativo e simbólico da Seguradora, o criador desse amplo investimento imobiliário foi Marco Besso, na época diretor e mais tarde presidente da companhia de seguros de Trieste, ele queria construir a sede da Generali no coração de Roma, a poucos metros da Coluna de Trajano e dos Fóruns Imperiais, foram necessários três anos para desenvolver o projeto, cuja aprovação final foi assinada em 23 de julho de 1902 e a construção terminou em 1906, com o edifício sendo inaugurado em dezembro do mesmo ano, em comemoração ao 75º aniversário da Assicurazioni Generali. Estávamos fazendo um tour por Roma e na hora que chegamos ao Palazzo delle Assicurazioni Generali estava chovendo muito, então infelizmente a nossa visita ficou um tanto prejudicada. Palazzo delle Assicurazioni Generali is a neo-Renaissance palace located in Piazza Venezia 11, in Rome, Italy, directly opposite Palazzo Veneza and its name is a reference to Assicurazioni Generali di Venezia, an insurance company based in Venice. This is the most representative and symbolic building of the Insurer, the creator of this broad real estate investment was Marco Besso, at the time director and later president of the Trieste insurance company, he wanted to build the Generali headquarters in the heart of Rome, a few meters away of Trajan's Column and the Imperial Forums, it took three years to develop the project, the final approval of which was signed on July 23, 1902 and construction ended in 1906, with the building being opened in December of the same year, in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Assicurazioni Generali. Fu ideato da Giuseppe Sacconi che lo adeguò alla piazza alla presenza del Vittoriano, ampliandone le dimensioni e rendendolo simmetrico. Quindi Sacconi delineò l'aspetto generale del nuovo palazzo, poi progettato nel dettaglio dall'architetto Guido Cirilli. Di fatto riprende le caratteristiche fondamentali di Palazzo Venezia, che si trova di fronte, compresa la sua torre quadrata.
