Il Residence Aldrovandi ci accoglie con la sua eleganza raffinata, ma il relativo ristorante non riesce a mantenere quanto promette l'accoglienza. Abbiamo preso Ostriche di Utah Beach (una) , Ventresca di tonno , Risotto al pecorino con polpettine di agnello , Babà e dolcetti (offerti), due Calvados. Da bere una bottiglia di Golden Muscateller, corretto ma con un sovrapprezzo eccessivo. Tutto discreto ma niente di "stellare" come invece ci aspettavamo da un ristorante... stellato. Ma la cosa più fastidiosa è stata l'approssimazione dei camerieri, al nostro tavolo se ne sono alternati quattro, uno più sprovveduto dell'altro. Che ovviamente ci chiedevano ripetutamente le stesse cose. Non certo colpa loro ma del Capo sala. Inoltre il conto di oltre 320,00€ mi è sembrato fuori da ogni logica di mercato. Abbiamo mangiato (meglio) in altri Ristoranti Stellati pagando di meno. Per finire l'ambiente dove ha ricavato la sala era veramente gelido e poco accogliente, immagino che quando d'estate si potrà mangiare bordo piscina e sotto gli alberi del giardino sarà sicuramente un'altra cosa... Forse gli daremo una prova d'appello (d'estate)
Residence Aldrovandi welcomes us with its refined elegance, but its restaurant fails to keep what the welcome promises. We got Utah Beach Oysters (one), Tuna Ventresca, Pecorino Risotto with Lamb Meatballs, Babà and Treats (offered), two Calvados. To drink a bottle of Golden Muscateller, correct but with an excessive surcharge. All discreet but nothing "stellar" as we expected from a starred restaurant. But the most annoying thing was the approximation of the waiters, at our table there were four of them, one more naive than the other. Who obviously asked us the same things over and over. Certainly not their fault but the head of the room. In addition, the bill of over € 320.00 seemed to me beyond any market logic. We ate (better) in other starred restaurants paying less. Finally, the environment where he created the room was really cold and unwelcoming, I imagine that when in summer you can eat by the pool and under the trees in the garden it will surely be something else ... Elegante al punto giusto in un contesto verde pur nel pieno cuore di Roma. Cucina che si basa su ingredienti freschissimi e che risalta con semplicità e classe i sapori senza artefarli. Servizio attento e cordiale, prezzo in linea con i piatti e il contesto. Ottima la pasticceria!

Ristorante molto elegante alle spalle di Villa Borghese situato all'interno dell'Hotel Aldrovandi. In occasione di una cena aziendale ho avuto modo di conoscere il ristorante e confermate le tante recensioni positive. Unica accortezza per coloro i quali decidono di assaggiare i raffinati piatti, è il posto auto non subito disponibile nei dintorni. C'è un parcheggio interno, ma penso sia dell'albergo e non fruibile dai clienti del ristorante. Meglio chiedere. Per il prezzo non c'è da aspettarsi un trattamento economico, ma vale la pena ogni tanto trattarsi bene...
Very elegant restaurant behind Villa Borghese located inside the Hotel Aldrovandi. During a corporate dinner I got to know the restaurant and confirmed the many positive reviews. The only precaution for those who decide to taste the refined dishes, is the parking space not immediately available nearby. There is an internal parking, but I think it is of the hotel and not usable by the customers of the restaurant. Better to ask. For the price you can not expect an economic treatment, but it is worth every now and again to treat yourself well ...

This restaurant is the total opposite of Pipero Roma. To sum up, good (too) but no risk taking. It must be said that it is a hotel restaurant. They can not disturb the clients. There is a nice garden with a pool. You can have a cocktail there. There is a bar. Beware of mosquitoes, the area is a bit damp. After the amuse-bouche, three slices of raw amberjack, marinated in tomato water and accompanied by a salad of salicornia, avocado and apple. Good cutting and good assembly of products. Fresh and light. Assaje Aldrovandi Sériole crue marinée à l'eau de tomates Then, a risotto of cauliflower and capers powder. For my friend, spaghetti with a rabbit stew, orange and chard. Banal. Nourishing but nothing very transcendent. Then torteli of oxtail, spinach and melted Castelmagno cheese. Same ecstasy as previous dsih... Continuation with a fillet of mullet in tempura on bed of eggplant, red onions and smoked Provolone cream. Let's be honest, a little more typical in the mouth. On the other hand, the octopus will be remarkable for its flatness. Strictly no flesh taste. The accompaniment of bean cream was nice, but the cephallopoda did not express any other flavor than its passage in pan. Let's finish with a caramelized suckling pig with a cream of salsify and shallots cooked in Porto wine and mustard. We finish better than we started. Nice desserts. To digest, I was offered homemade herbal teas mixed with freshly picked herbs. Not feeling myself still bedridden soul and the desire to make me border by "Momone" at the exit of the establishment, I turned to grappa offered. Despite my apparent lack of enthusiasm, do not jump to conclusions that we have eaten badly. The work was present and maybe this restaurant suffered from my dinner of the previous evening in Pipero Roma, much more original even if sometimes missed. Assaje offers a very classic cuisine, good design, with excellent elements (except the octopus!) But lacking a bit of originality. The beautiful sequence of wines offered is not enough to encourage erethism. I keep you the best for last. It was a simple tomato coulis with a quenelle of cream. And succulent! A taste of sweet tomato, without a touch of acidity, which makes you rediscover this fruit. A wonder. Well, will you believe it?
