Peccato che quando sono andato a visitarlo l'info point era chiuso (anche se l'orario era quello di apertura) quindi non abbiamo potuto chiedere informazioni su come fare ad ascoltare le spiegazioni dei dipinti. Un vero peccato che ha sicuramente peggiorato l'esperienza della nostra visita. Ad ogni modo il paese è piccolo, non vi servirà più di un'ora per vederlo tutto. Vi consiglio di organizzare la vostra visita insieme ad altre in modo da riempire la mezza giornata. Non c'è molto da aggiungere se non godersi le foto. About half an hour from Varese is this beautiful village, with houses and very narrow streets and the walls of painted houses. Too bad that when I went to visit the info point was closed (even if it was the opening time) so we couldn't ask for information on how to listen to the explanations of the paintings. Such a shame that it definitely made the experience of our visit worse. Anyway, the country is small, it won't take you more than an hour to see it all. I recommend that you organize your visit together with others in order to fill the half day. There isn't much to add other than enjoying the photos.

Negli oltre sessant’anni dall’avvio di questa operazione e con il contributo di numerose altre firme, il paese si è man mano arricchito di nuove opere. I soggetti riprodotti nei dipinti spaziano da racconti e situazioni della tradizione locale a motivi devozionali; da composizioni astratte a rappresentazioni di gusto cubista; e poi temi sociali, sportivi e di vita quotidiana. First among the Italian municipalities, already starting from 1956 Arcumeggia (Va) gave life to an innovative project that involved many famous Italian artists of the twentieth century (among them Achille Funi, Ernesto Treccani, Aligi Sassu and others) with which it was intended to create a real art gallery on the walls of the buildings, along the streets, in the courtyards and in the pedestrian walkways of the town.
