P	Pasquale Ceres on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sono stato in Archivio il 18 agosto scorso per effettuare delle ricerche genealogiche e, nonostante il periodo estivo, sono rimasto piacevolmente stupito dalla gentilezza e disponibilità del personale, e dalla semplicità nella fruizione dei servizi offerti. Era presente ed operativo il servizio fotocopie, ed è stato possibile effettuare delle fotografie con la mia macchina personale, nel rispetto della normativa vigente. CIliegina sulla torta: è previsto il pagamento di 3 euro per ciascuna busta (faldone) di cui si vuole fotografare il contenuto: non è stato necessario andare all'ufficio postale per il pagamento, bensì ho potuto pagare direttamente senza uscire dall'edificio, il che mi ha permesso di concentrarmi sulle mie ricerche. Gli eventi ciclicamente proposti rendono la visita a tale Archivio diversificata e pertanto da ripetere nelle varie occasioni. Un gran lavoro per tutti i pochi addetti alla struttura pubblica. The contents of the bulletin boards and the rediscovery of the chapel of San Ludovico d'Angiò are very interesting. Il palazzo che ospita l'archivio è antichissimo e risalente al XV secolo. All'epoca ospitava gli uffici della sede giudiziaria della città. L' Archivio, gestito da personale gentilissimo e molto competente, offre un vasto patrimonio librario e documentale, di grandissimo interesse per gli appassionati. Molto bella la cappella di San Ludovico D'Angiò, di recente scoperta, che merita di essere visitata, in particolare dagli appassionati di storia locale! Personalmente sono molto affezionata a questo luogo, negli anni '80, ero un' assidua frequentatrice dell'archivio, impegnata nella ricerca di riferimenti storici per la mia tesina in Storia del Risorgimento! Ho passato li tante ore in compagnia di grossi faldoni polverosi, catapultata in una dimensione senza tempo, nel tentativo di catturare il passato, per riportarlo in vita! The Salerno State Archive is located in Piazza Abate Conforti, near the National Boarding School. The building that houses the archive is very old and dates back to the 15th century. At the time it housed the offices of the city's judicial headquarters. The Archive, managed by very kind and very competent staff, offers a vast book and documentary heritage, of great interest for fans. The recently discovered chapel of San Ludovico D'Angiò is very beautiful and deserves to be visited, especially by fans of local history! Personally I am very fond of this place, in the 80s, I was a regular visitor to the archive, engaged in the search for historical references for my essay in History of the Risorgimento! I spent many hours there in the company of large dusty folders, catapulted into a timeless dimension, in an attempt to capture the past, to bring it back to life!

Si trova nel centro storico di Salerno, una locazione stupenda a due passi dal duomo, la pecca è il parcheggio: un incubo trovare un posto! Meglio usare il treno locale con fermata Duomo per raggiungere l'archivio Staff helpful and well organized inside. It is located in the historic center of Salerno, a wonderful location a stone's throw from the cathedral, the flaw is the parking: a nightmare to find a place! Better to use the local train with the Duomo stop to reach the archive

It also host upon request cultural events that include seminars, conferences and cultural prize award events. Very nice personnel, clean environment, thousands of book very useful for university theses and for researchers.
