β β β β β The fried fungi porcini is soooo good that we had to order it twice. Taglierini al tartufo was another highlight. Attentive service and reasonable price!

β β β β β An adorable tradicional restaurant. The pasta is from their own production and there are some of typical tuscany specialties. I ask for the starters a porcion with a sort of local antepastos and as a main a "Faraona di Rinascimento" -a plate prepared in the old ages of angola chiken, mushroons sauce, bread and truflles. Just unmissable. And for final Castelina in Chianti is one of the most charming and cosy cities in the region. I am in love.

β β β β β I thought the food here was very rich, delicious and fairly priced. The location in the main square is good except when there is a big event on. The night we visited, there was a big party in the square with loud banging music. This wasn't the fault of the restaurant but no one eating al fresco could hold a conversation.

β β β β β We arrived for lunch a half an hour before closing, they took us in but rushed with the food that we ordered. The steak was cold, the bread was cold and when we asked to heat the meat they heat in the microwave, it seems. They did not apologize.

Food was mediocre at best. Polenta was dry, salad was rediculous as tomatoes were old, pasta was basic and chicken was also dried out.
Onto the service - cold, no smiles, no assistance. You'd expect something better.

β β β β β Excellent restaurant and so tasty. Local food with quality products. Food tasted like it was made by nonna herself. So amazing. Big wine selection from Classico to Riservas. Friendly staff and helpful. Nice decorated and ambience as well.
