La segheria poteva funzionare anche grazie alla consiste presenza ďacqua. Il suo nome è indicativo che la sua attività è iniziata al tempo della Repubblica Serenissima. Dell'edificio storico dell'impianto rimane solo la parte sotterranea del meccanismo di movimento di taglio della legna. Questo meccanismo è visitabile utilizzando una botola.
