What a gentile owner... who has wonderful design sense.
I love frames that have a nostalgic feel. He has everything you could want.

Francesca--granddaughter of the founder of the store, immediately won me over with her attention, keen eye for detail, honesty with giving her opinion on some of the glasses I was considering, and reasonable prices.
The glasses are so unique you won't find them anywhere else--they will even make you a custom pair based upon a particular unique color slab or design they have.
The "plastic" is actually cellulose so once you are done with them they dont need to be thrown into a landfill, they can be composted or recycled depending on the material you choose. I found the wood glasses were incredibly unique and was a bit sad they did not fit my face! I have bought over 10 pairs from them and am about to ask them to do a custom project for me. I loved the care and craftsmanship and how Florence influences the design of their glasses!

Superb craftsmanship driven by genuine Italian passion for design ; unique items, available for customization, for the most demanding customer at very reasonable prices offered with a professional and gracious service. The extremely competent optometrist on the premises can provide a very thorough visit and a perfect prescription. I discovered this hidden gem 30+ years ago and since then I never found an eyewear shop even remotely close to Antica Occhialeria.
