Avendo sentito parlare di questa drogheria da mia nonna che era nata in via di citta accanto a palazzo Chigi Saracini in piena contrada dell'Aquila, drogheria che allora non era in via di città ma vicino, sono voluto venire a prendere qualcosa. Il giovane titolare è stato di rara gentilezza e ho acquistato ottimi prodotti. Fa sempre piacere sentirsi accolti come ancora facenti parte, anche se ormai a breve distanza, di questa bella comunità senese. I came to Siena as every year in honor of my Sienese origins. Having heard about this grocery store from my grandmother who was born in via di città next to Palazzo Chigi Saracini in the heart of the district of L'Aquila, a grocery store that was not in via di città but nearby, I wanted to come and get something. The young owner was of rare kindness and I bought excellent products. It is always nice to feel welcomed as still part, even if now a short distance away, of this beautiful Sienese community.

Dolci ottimi assaggiati questa estate nel negozio durante una gita a Siena. GRAZIE! A small technical problem solved quickly and kindly. La produzione artigianale propria è garanzia di qualità con sapori che viaggiano nell'esperienza secolare. Un ultimo apprezzamento lo dedico alla gentilezza di chi porta avanti questa fantastica attività, ero uscito dal negozio ed avevo già fatto i miei acquisti, il proprietario è uscito e mi ha offerto un ulteriore assaggio di un dolce buonissimo, grazie di cuore e spero di tornare presto!

There are probably thousands of Chiantis in Tuscany and choosing the best, if there is a best, is like finding a needle in a haystack. Their selection is not enormous but very well selected and we were given invaluable help in discovering some extraordinary well priced wines. It is now my first stop in Siena after taking an espresso in the Campo!

This is the place where you can come across many cool gift ideas to bring home with you, such as hand-crafted hazelnut paste, beautifully wrapped chocolate, Lavazza coffee candies, marmalades in amazing jars and of course wine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great service!
