M	Marco Precisi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Da cascinese quale sono, non posso tralasciare una delle costruzioni alto medievali che meglio si sono conservate, da più di 900 anni. Esternamente appare come un rilievo naturale nel bel mezzo della piana Cascinese, ed in parte è così; una Mont Saint Michel pisana. Il tipo di luogo e la posizione rialzata denota da sé che la Badia risale a prima dell'inizio della bonifica e della regimazione dell'Arno. Recentemente è stato festeggiato il suo 900 esimo compleanno, almeno dalle sue prime tracce storiche che la nominano. Austerità della sua parte esterna, che risultava essere congeniale alla funzione difensiva; che si può trovare in tutti i luoghi di culto del periodo. Una scala in pietra vi invita a salire sul piano abitato, posto a circa 20 metri dalla pianura; ed arrivati lì spaziando lo sguardo a 360 gradi, avrete innanzi tutto ciò che è questo piccolo gioiello millenario. Oltre alla Chiesa madre, parte del complesso monastico è stato nei secoli adattato ad abitazioni civili. Ho avuto occasione di visitare qualche interno, e benché reso utile all'uso civile; le piccole stanze quadrate e le possenti mura fanno intravedere come doveva essere in origine. Da segnalare anche le piccole finestre che si aprono verso l'esterno, intatte anche loro. Per me un millenario luogo dove ancora si può abitare, mi da fiducia che lo possa fare per altri 1000 anni!!!. As a farmer as I am, I cannot overlook one of the best preserved early medieval buildings for more than 900 years. Externally it appears as a natural relief in the middle of the Cascinese plain, and in part it is so; a Pisan Mont Saint Michel. The type of place and the raised position denotes by itself that the Badia dates back to before the beginning of the reclamation and the management of the Arno. Its 900th birthday was recently celebrated, at least from its first historical traces that name it. Austerity of its external part, which appeared to be congenial to the defensive function; which can be found in all the places of worship of the period. A stone staircase invites you to go up to the inhabited area, located about 20 meters from the plain; and when you get there, looking at 360 degrees, you will first of all have what this little millenary jewel is. In addition to the mother church, part of the monastic complex has been adapted over the centuries to civilian homes. I have had the opportunity to visit some interiors, and although made useful for civilian use; the small square rooms and the mighty walls give a glimpse of how it must have been originally. Also noteworthy are the small windows that open outwards, also intact. For me, a millenary place where you can still live, gives me confidence that it can do so for another 1000 years !!!.
