★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last year my wife and I happen to stumble on his gallery. We loved the work and we came home with an amazing night seen of Positano. Has it hung in our home we fell more and more in love with the piece. Therefore, we had him paint the church in my home town in Sicily. Wow, even better than the one we bought last year. We gave him a few picture and told him in general what we wanted. Our kids are already fighting for position as to who will inherit those works. He is that good. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just bought a couple of paintings from Giancarlo; two beautiful watercolors. He also has a lot of oil paintings. He earned himself couple of prestigious awards for his own works. Additionally, he exhibits other artists. If you love the eclectic, he has it. If you have more classical tastes he has it. Best of all, he caters to several different budgets. So, if you're halfway broke but want original, beautiful art created in the Amalfi Coast, he has very nice stuff. If you want something modern from a popular artist that costs more, he has it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Art & Craft Gallery has traditional Positano art as well as cool whimsical, modern art. If you’re lucky enough to meet Giancarlo, you’ll understand why everyone likes him.
I got a seahorse wall sculpture that Giancarlo upcycled from wood salvaged from an old beach umbrella, a Perogi beer can, and other various parts. It’s so creative and unique.

We bought our first painting from Giancarlo 2 years ago. We loved his work and he was obviously a talented person. But since that first purchase we have gotten to know his because we commissioned two other paintings. One of my husbands home town in Sicily and one of one Florence. Those are now treasures that each of our kids will want in the will. They will have to wait for those. During these commissioned painting we go to know Giancarlo and realized that he is a wonderful person in addition to being talented. We had the good fortune to take a covid flight to Italy and visit him again this past June. Yes of course we found another painting we loved and bought. If you are in Positano don't miss his gallery. If you can buy something you love of his work because it will be a treasure for you and you usually have to dig for treasures. Grazie, Giancarlo see you next June.
