Better than the amplitheather of capia? 1. The signs were also in English, 2 the underground was open to roam around. 3. The underground and topside were in excellent shape over. Definitely recommend seeing both but see this one last! It didn't take long to go though it. It is $4 euro amd there was no guided tour part. There are bathrooms but I had to pay and find parking outside of the area. But definitely worth it!

Second biggest Roman amfitheater in Italy, very nicely preserved. Unfortunately closed on Tuesdays, and we got there...on Tuesday :-)

This amphitheatre is pretty impressie if you ask me! Unfortunately, a part of the theatre was burnt down, so I couldn't go to the stands. I was only able to go under the theatre where gladiators and animale were hold. This looked impressive, but it wasn't really worth my time. I think it is still worth it to take a look at this amphitheatre, but only if you're close to it.

It's such an atmospheric place! The best bit is to compare the models of the original and what's left today

Had a wonderful morning looking around the Ampitheatre. If you have done Pompeii or Herculaneum then this is well worth a visit. It is rare to be able to see the spaces beneath an ampitheatre and see how it all fits together. A really great example of a Roman ampitheatre and well worth a visit. Sadly, we could not go into the Ampitheatre itself due to a fire, but have been into many others and so was not such a loss.

What a beautiful place. You walk into history. It's in a very good state of conservation so you can walk on those isles where gladiators and animals were kept captive. It's a neat place. A must see fir only €5, kids under 15 are free.

3rd largest amfitheatre in Italy.Access to the arena was closed, but the underground was accessible for the public. Impressive. Entry only 4 euros, 2 euros for people under 25. (cash only)

If you are interested in visiting a coliseum where you can walk through the underground passages where ferocious animals and gladiators would emerge from, you need to visit this site.
