★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il castello di Ameglia è molto bello ha anche un bel giardino dove talvolta vengono fatte delle manifestazioni. Non facile riuscire a visitare l'interno. È stato anche sede del municipio ora trasferitosi altrove. le prime notizie storiche in cui datarlo risalgono al 963 citato negli scritti dei possedimenti del vescovo lunense. In seguito furono diversi i personaggi storici che lo occuparono: i vescovi-conti di Luni poi ci fu l'occupazione dei Sarzanesi sotto Genova ed in seguito fu posseduto da Castruccio Castracani poi ci fu il domino dei Visconti che a metà secolo lo cedettero al banco di San Giorgio della repubblica Genovese. Quindi ci furono diversi passaggi nel tempo. Il castello possiede anche una Torre, che è a pianta circolare, l'intera struttura è a forma rettangolare, su due piani, protetto da una cortina muraria trapezoidale. Il castello è molto importante e abbellisce molto il borgo di Ameglia, domina tutta la vallata splendidamente. Molto bello anche il borgo.
