The locals directed us to this great cheese shop /grocery store, hidden on a small side street, located very close to both the Cart Museum (Museo del Carretto Siciliano) or Cattedrale di Acireale.. We had a fun & memorable experience with the owners (husband & wife team) tasting & picking-out from a great selection of cheese, cured meats & olives, using mostly gestures & expressions (as our Italian is very limited) It seems the owners really appreciated our business (those crazy tourist who speak no Italian) shopping with them, because they kissed & hugged us, posed for photos and then came running into the street after we had left, to give each of us a small gift/souvenir. A very sweet gesture and worthy of taking the time to write them a review!
