Albergo del Centro Storico Salerno

la mia esperienza è stata negativa, intanto non è un albergo bensi un B/B, freddo riscaldamenti non funzionati e per quanto concerne la colazione povera e comprensiva di una bibita calda ed una pasta che tra l'altro deve essere richiesta presso il bar che dista dalle stanze circa 100/150 metri e dove si trova anche la reception.

Dopo una notte passata in bianco , ritengo doveroso segnalare che una volta nella vita… i materassi e cuscini.. possono essere comprati nuovi ! Struttura vecchia e datata , ma con questi oggetti nuovi , sarebbe ottimo .

Tutto è tranne che un albergo, ingresso nascosto tra i tendoni dei locali sottostanti appena si entra nel portone che sembra un tugurio si sale una scala e si arriva alle camere (esperienza orribile) vecchie e mal odoranti anzi non si è potuto dormire sia per la puzza e sia per il troppo ma troppo rumore che proviene dai locali sottostanti con porta e balcone non insonorizzati peccato per la posizione eccellente e per il personale cordialissimo e disponibilissimo.

Nonostante la posizione centrale, l'albergo (che, come altri hanno giustamente già riportato, non dovrebbe chiamarsi così) non è immediatamente riconoscibile, in quanto si trova tra un bar pizzeria ed un pub. La reception, infatti, la si trova all'interno del primo. La mia esperienza è completamente negativa. Una cabina doccia mancante di un'anta, con l'acqua che quindi inondava il bagno, tra l'altro senza bidet, e una smart TV che non era tale, sono state le due problematiche che ho notato all'arrivo. Il disguido peggiore, tuttavia, l'ho avuto durante il sonno. Ad un certo punto del mattino, infatti, una gamba del letto si è staccata, facendomi rotolare sul pavimento. Sceso alla reception, prima di consumare una colazione piuttosto misera, ho rappresentato l'accaduto al personale. Questo, più che scusarsi, nulla ha fatto, se non una battuta davvero poco opportuna. Successivamente, altro personale ha proposto di "appoggiarmi" nella stanza adiacente alla mia. Devo quindi dire, a malincuore, che la mia vicenda è stata trattata con una gravissima superficialità. Nessuno, io credo, all'interno di una struttura ricettiva, vorrebbe risvegliarsi in un modo del genere e sperimentare, in risposta alle logiche lamentele, una tale manifestazione di indifferenza, nemmeno se il soggiorno fosse gratis.

Nice location and a reasonable price, but the hotel is not in very good shape and the noise from the lively street gets to the rooms quite loudly.

SCAM ARTISTS! If I had the option to give it zero stars I would. DO NOT STAY HERE. I arrived and was greeted by a nice man who took me to my room. I unpacked while he was working on fixing the air conditioning. He then informed me that he needed to move me to another room (not a problem for me) -- the B&B only has a few rooms anyways. We went to another room, and again there was a problem with the AC -- so he brought me to a 3rd room. This room was SLIGHTLY larger than the other two rooms, but by no means ANYTHING special. The AC still did not work -- he said he would have someonw fix it within 30 minutes. I was not worried and headed out to dinner. When I returned it was not fixed -- still not a HUGE problem for me. I was very nice and told them not to worry (they assured me the following day it would be fixed). It was never fixed -- again NOT a big deal. Although it was quite loud because the restaurant below that they run is open 24 hours. The morning of my departure I went to check-out at 12pm (apparently check out was at 11:30). The "owner" was now there and he told me I owed an additional 65 Euro (I had prepaid the 2 nights for 120 Euro). I asked why? He charged me 40 Euro for an UPGRADE (WHAT????), 25 Euro for late check-out (again, I was only 30 minutes past check out and after all the problems I had, and i had not complained ONCE I could not believe he was charging me because I was 30 minutes past check-out), the "hotel" was also EMPTY and I had been woken up several times throughout the night because I was unable to shut my windows (with no AC). I told him I never had an upgrade, but because the man who checked me in was not there he did not believe me. I explained that I had been moved 3 times -- that the AC never worked. He yelled and was rude and intimidating. I don't speak very good Italian, so I had my male friend, who lives in Salerno meet me to speak with him -- I assumed perhaps I was NOT explaining correctly what had happened. The owner was rude, loud and obnoxious. He called me stupid and threatened me verbally. I almost phoned the police, but decided it was best to just leave. The place is a complete SCAM. The rooms are "decent" at best, not very clean, but if you are looking for a cheap bed to just sleep in, then the price is right -- until you check out and they add on an antlers night worth of false charges.

Beautiful,clean and well located.This is the perfect hotel to visit the area.Easy an quick access to buses, train station, central city, old town and the beach.The staff is incredibly friendly and always making sure that you having a good stay.The place is clean and the food they serve at the restaurant is very authentic. Knowing the city quiet well, i can say that is is the best place i stayed in!Give it a shout you will definitely not be disappointed!
